Why Not Start a New NADFAS Society?

There’s nothing like the satisfaction of seeing a well run Society with a happy membership and knowing you are part of the team that made it happen.”

Looking for a challenge? Want to make new and lasting friendships? Would you like to be part of one of the country’s leading arts organisations?

Why not start a new NADFAS Society?

It is a challenging but hugely rewarding project to start a new NADFAS Society.

You will need…

A group of enthusiastic and like-minded people to form a steering committee and fill key roles such as Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary and Programme Secretary.

A suitable venue to hold your meetings that preferably seats 150-200 people. Good parking, efficient blackout for the projection of slides and facilities for making refreshments for your members are essential. Town halls, village halls, theatres, schools or universities make ideal Society venues.

You need enthusiasm – buckets of it!”  - But we can help with the rest!

We won’t pretend that starting a new Society isn’t hard work but our experienced New Societies Advisors and our staff at NADFAS House are here to provide practical advice and support from your initial enquiry through to your inaugural lecture and beyond.

The personal sense of achievement is important, but more satisfying is that you are bringing all the fun, interest and knowledge-sharing of NADFAS and the arts generally to a wider audience.”

In the last year, new NADFAS Societies were launched in Wiltshire and Pembrokeshire, as well as in Spain and New Zealand. Could your area be next?

If you are interested in starting a new NADFAS Society, in the UK or overseas, please call 020 7430 0730 ext 239 or email membership@nadfas.org.uk to find out more or to request an information pack.
