The Heritage Volunteers Team tries to ensure that all Heritage Volunteers have access to the latest ideas and methods of conservation. In 2006 the Heritage Volunteers Team Textile Representative, Pam Darlington, took a group of NADFAS Heritage Volunteers to visit the National Trust Textile Conservation Centre at Oulton where they were able to watch conservation in progress and talk to the conservators. This was followed by a tour of Blickling Hall.
On the second day of the textile tour they went to Norwich Cathedral and visited the Broderers Guild workrooms and the Carrow House Museum which has an interesting and varied collection of textiles. The group even managed to fit in a visit to the theatre!
