Two members of Bancroft's DFAS volunteered for the Museum of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society making bags for nine of its largest pieces of silverware (candelabra, a salver, a 'warwick vase' etc). The cloth they used is specially made for museums as it contains a product that inhibits tarnishing. The silver is now being cleaned and the bags will ensure that there is a long interval before it will have to be cleaned again!
The project has been supported by the Friends of Leamington Art Gallery who funded training and conservation materials.
