Stained Glass Marks & Monograms
This catalogue of some of the signatures, marks and monograms which appear on stained glass windows in British churches has been compiled by Church Recorders from information received from many sources including a number of experts and knowledgeable enthusiasts. The entries mostly date from the 19th & 20th centuries and each one has an illustration of the mark/monogram when known together with examples of window locations and brief facts about the artist/maker. The book is used by Church Recorders to help them identify the artists, designers and makers of stained glass windows in churches and its value has been fully acknowledged by all those interested in stained glass, both amateur and expert.
