Stained Glass Marks and Monograms

This catalogue of some of the signatures, marks and monograms which appear on stained glass windows in British churches has been compiled by Church Recorders from information received from many sources, including a number of experts and knowledgeable enthusiasts.

The entries mostly date from the 19th and 20th centuries and each one has an illustration of the mark or monogram when known, together with examples of window locations and brief facts about the artist or maker. The book can be used by Church Recorders to help them identify artists, designers and makers of stained glass windows. Its value has been fully acknowledged by all those interested in stained glass, both amateur and expert.
