The Royal Society of British Artists Annual Exhibition shows the best of contemporary representational painting, sculpture, printmaking and drawing. NADFAS works in partnership with the RBA to find the most outstanding work by final year A-level students from around the country and display it as part of the exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London.
In 2015 fifty-three Societies submitted 370 images of 'A' level or equivalent artwork to be considered by the Royal Society of British Artists. The work selected by Societies consisted of portraits, landscapes and still-life or nature studies. The RBA President and his fellow council members picked pieces which combined the highest levels of skill, expression and draughtsmanship.
The shortlisted students were given the title RBA Scholar while their work was shown alongside that of professional artists at the RBA's annual exhibtion in March 2015. The PDF on the right gives the names of the 2015 RBA Scholars with images of their work. The NADFAS John Ingram Memorial Prize was awarded to Stanley Welch from Truro & Penwith College for his Self Portrait.
