The Royal Society of British Artists Annual Exhibition shows the best of contemporary representational painting, sculpture, printmaking and drawing. NADFAS has worked in partnership with the RBA to find the most outstanding work by final year A-level students from around the country and display it as part of the exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London.
Call for Entries for 2014
NADFAS invites Societies to select 'A' level (year 13), Highers or equivalent, work for consideration by the Royal Society of British Artists to display in their 2014 exhibition, at the Mall Galleries, London.
In 2012 fifty-seven Societies submitted 465 digital images of 'A' level or equivalent artwork from 87 schools to be considered by the Royal Society of British Artists. The work selected by Societies consisted of portraits, landscapes and still-life or nature studies. The RBA President,James Hortonand his fellow council members picked 20 pieces which combined the highest levels of skill, expression and draughtsmanship.
There is no extra work for schools or students as Societies should select artwork displayed at the schools' or colleges' end of year exhibitions in June or July 2013. The shortlisted students will have the title RBA Scholar during the show and receive an invitation to the private view at the Mall Galleries as well as a certificate. The NADFAS John Ingram Memorial Prize will be awarded for an exceptional piece of work.
Societies who wish to participate in 2013-14 should request guidelines and an entry form by emailing volunteering@nadfas.org.uk putting RBA 2013-14 in the subject line.
